This hands-on half-day surgical workshop allows participants to practise on live animals, and is designed to provide surgical trainees and fellows with the concepts of surgical techniques in liver transplantation using the porcine model.

Objectives
  • To provide participants with the concepts of surgical techniques in liver transplantation
  • To demonstrate standard approaches to liver transplant surgery via video
  • To allow participants to perform liver transplantation using animal hands-on model

Liver Hands on – pigs ligation of structures and explant

Exchange the livers and implantation as per DDLT
